Blissfully Newlywed: Mr & Mrs Luk

Hello, my wonderful friends and family! I'm sorry I haven't been very good about keeping this space occupied, but you know I have the best excuse ever. That's right, Brandon and I got married last month and it's been busy busy busy ever since.

Florida was fabulous, with the exception of Tropical Storm Colin dumping rain on us much of the time we were there. But those sunny days... oh those sunny days! I didn't want to leave, and I think Brandon was equally impressed, it being his first time to the great state. The wedding was lovely and I managed to not cry like a baby, though there were a few instances where I thought I wouldn't be able to hold back.  The honeymoon was wonderful as well, but enough about that. :)

When we got back to Canada, we had a whole week to ourselves and then all the flurry of activities began. My son came to visit for a few weeks (not long enough at all!) and we took him to some cool places like Parliament in Ottawa & Bruce Peninsula National Park. We also took him on a photowalk in Toronto with some of our local photographer friends.  Since he went back home, we've made a trip to Ohio to take care of yet even more paperwork, and have had all our weekends taken up with family activities. I have literally not had a chance to just relax until this week, and honestly, it's been pretty busy as well. Who knew it was so hard to find a painter in Barrie, ON who would show up for their appointment to give a simple estimate on painting cabinets. Sheesh!

So, it looks like we'll be able to get back to working on the condo, which is so good. I don't do well in cluttered environments, and this condo has been a cluttered mess for too long. Which is to be expected when you try to merge two households in one 1000+ sq ft space. We have managed to get rid of quite a bit of clutter this last week, so I have to give a shout out to my wonderful husband for that. I know it's hard for him to let anything go, because hello we may need those bread clips later! ;) Anyway, he was a trooper, and I'm proud of him.

I had hoped to be able to have some wedding photos to share with you by now, but for right now all I have is this selfie that I took of me and Brandon on our way out the door to Coral Cove Park to get married. Hopefully, I'll have photos of the wedding to share very soon. Until then, stay positive, love deeply, & be happy!
